Lake Pleasant is a town in Hamilton County, New York, and is the county seat of Hamilton County. Lake Pleasant is located within the Adirondack State Park.

The year-round population of the Town of Lake Pleasant, which includes the Village of Speculator, is about 730. During the summer months, between Memorial Day and Columbus Day, the population swells as seasonal residents and vacation visitors come to the area. The small town is a busy community, with many activities including a 4th of July parade & fireworks, a weekly Farmer’s Market, and an annual craft fair, as well as hiking, biking, swimming, boating and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
