About LPSF - Foundation

The Foundation

The Lake Pleasant-Sacandaga Foundation (LPSF) was organized in 1994 to raise funds through tax deductible donations for projects which accomplish the purpose of the Lake Pleasant - Sacandaga Association. Donations to the Foundation qualify for tax treatment under 503(c) of the Federal Tax Code. The Foundation is financed through separate contributions and covers the costs of special projects outside the funding capability of the LPSA.

The Kathryn C. Huber Memorial Fund (“The Kathy Huber Fund”) is a subset of the Lake Pleasant – Sacandaga Foundation, and was created in 2011 in memory of Kathy Huber. This fund provides a hedge against a sudden devastating invasive occurrence by providing a source of funds for a quick response to remove or contain an invasive species. Donations to the Kathy Huber Fund are generously matched one-for-one by John Huber. Donations to the general LPSF fund and The Kathy Huber Fund are tax-deductible, and help LPSA and LPSF to fund a variety of activities and to accomplish the mission of the organization.

Donations of any amount can be made at any time to either the LPSF general fund or The Kathy Huber Fund. Donations can be made by check, credit card, or PayPal. Please see “Donations” under the “Members” section on the menu bar at the top of the LPSA home page.
