Lake Management Plan

Lake Management Plan

Lake Pleasant - Sacandaga Association (LPSA) is a lake ecology organization whose mission is to conserve and protect the purity of all the lakes in the Town of Lake Pleasant, protect the environment, and conserve the scenic and natural beauty of the area.

LPSA is currently creating a Lake Management Plan.  This document contains information on the current health of our local lakes, identifies potential future threats, and provides guidance on what actions could be taken in the future to respond to those threats.

A lake management plan serves many purposes.  In many cases, grant funding is dependent on the existence of a lake management plan.  Completing this plan will expand our opportunities to secure grant funding in the future to help our local lakes and community.

An important step in the process of creating this plan is a review by people in the local community and other stakeholders across the Adirondack region and across the state.  We request that you review this current DRAFT document and send your comments to Rich Armstrong, at rich.armstrong61@gmail.com.

Your comments and input will help us improve the final document.
